Best Blogging Apps For MacOS and iOS

best blogging apps for mac

There are many blogging apps out there, but many of them do not offer a full-fledged blogging tool, and thus, they are not worth trying to use.

You might have heard of some of these applications on the internet, but what you probably don’t know is that they are not available in the app stores of apple devices.

So how exactly can you find these apps? Well, it involves finding a blog and actually writing a post. And then, once you’ve done that, either uploading your post to an online marketplace (like WordPress) or using WordPress’ built-in tools like the auto-generator tool (google it!) will help you launch your blog pretty easily.

Before I get into the best blogging apps for mac, it is important to mention that I am not an expert on this subject and I don’t know which one is best for you.

What I do know is that these blogging apps for mac are relatively new technologies and are quite customizable.

Bottom line upfront

TL;DR

1) You need a Macbook or similar laptop to run these apps. Do not use Windows devices. It will be much harder than it should be because this site has very little in the way of usability issues on Windows 10 machines.

2) All applications listed here have been tested on the latest version of macOS 10.12 High Sierra (March 2016). If your Mac hasn’t received this update yet, please go through this link.

3) These applications don’t support iCloud Drive so make sure you have Dropbox installed as well if you want to use iCloud Drive as your blog platform (it’s free).

4) These apps are still in development, so there may be some bugs and errors. My advice is that you test them out before going ahead with a purchase unless you’re absolutely sure about how everything works firsthand.

5) The following apps are written explicitly for Mac-based blogs because they do support Windows platforms. However, they require further customization due to their lack of ability to work with iOS (they work fine but aren’t optimized for iOS either).

6) They also come without any advertisements unlike some other blogging applications out there which would force you into paying for ads in order to stay afloat.

7) In addition, most bloggers don’t mind paying for advertising since most readers know how much advertising money goes into their inboxes every day through social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

That’s why I chose these applications myself instead of going with other options that would cost extra.

The first thing you must consider regarding blogging apps is how long your posts will be. It doesn’t matter if you want to share one article or post several.

You need an app that will allow you the freedom to publish your content however and whenever you want.

If you have an app that doesn’t even allow for comments, it isn’t suitable. Very few apps allow comments on their blog posts, so they are generally only ideal for people who want a straightforward way of commenting on their blog posts.

Make sure your app works with Safari and Chrome browsers, as these browsers are the default platforms used by most people and websites these days.
